How does CEREC work? The method uses digital imagery and an in-house milling machine to create your dental crown in under an hour. Once the tooth has been prepared, digital impressions are taken of it and all surrounding oral structures. These digital images eliminate the need for messy impressions that induce gagging in many patients. Once preparation is complete and the images are ready, Dr. Mackie enters all of this information into the CEREC milling machine. As a child, my parents and I visited the dentist office for regular check-ups, and 9 times out of 10, I would have to return because of some dental problem.
